I am a freelance photographer living in Rhode Island
who started out his professional life with a degree in Anthropology
and a career as an archaeologist (specializing in site photography)
working in the New England area on prehistoric and contact period
sites.
A move
to photojournalism gave me 10 years experience at a newspaper group
(the Herald Press) as their chief photographer shooting everything
from sports to hard news to flower shows and town council meetings.
In 1988
I decided to go freelance fulltime, and since then I have shot in
the categories of editorial & PR for universities, hospitals,
large & small companies, regional & national publications.
In the
last few years I have also started shooting performance photographs
for clients from college theater to legendary rock artists, and
it's a genre I've come to love.
Travel
is a pleasure for me so I'm always willing to hop on a plane to
go where the images are with the equipment and experience to handle
a wide range of subjects and challenges.
Call
me if you need a good imagination and a steady hand with a photographer
behind it.
